Texture: Compared with synthetic hair, human hair will be smoother, shinier and softer. Each strand of natural hair has scales. That means you get different feelings when you pull it in different directions. Synthetic hair is smooth whichever way you rub it.

Color: If the hair has subtle changes of color and highlights, it is most likely natural. The color acquired through exposure to natural light, which is extremely difficult to obtain from artificial ways.

Wave: Whether you buy straight hair or curly hair, real human hair will be curly and elastic after washing. It tends to be a natural state, not very stiff. On the other hand, synthetic hair will always maintain the same appearance as before.
